The Islamic Weekend School (IWS) is pleased to welcome you all to our 2008/09 school year.  The location of IWS activities for this year will be at Westland Middle School in Bethesda, MD, the same location as last year.  Registration and first day of classes for the 2008/09 IWS school year will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the Westland MS.  Parents will be expected to submit registration forms and make the appropriate payment for their child(ren) on this date.  One new change regarding registration is that the parents will receive the books for their children as part of the registration process.

The mission of the Islamic Weekend School is to provide the highest quality education to a student population of ethnically diverse backgrounds, thereby fostering growth and development with the community at large.

IWS is operated by The Center for Islamic Education (CIE) and provides educational programs that integrate Religion, Quran and Arabic studies in a structured classroom environment. The school is geographically convenient to interested families living in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and offers age-appropriate subject matter to students attending kindergarten through high school.
